The Vernacular formed in 2007 as the band, Frieda Hammond, its lineup crystallized mid-year after having played publicly at clubs and festivals throughout upstate New York. In early 2008 the band had a change in management, a new name , as well as, a new resolve to be better than ever. The band's lineup is a diverse mix with influences from at least three generations of popular and highly enjoyable music. The time, effort, energy and just plain hard work that goes into every show always leaves the audience with the heart-felt impression that the band truly cares about the experiences they're helping to create.
